- The English Language Test consists of three different parts; speaking, reading, and writing
- Applicants must be able to prove that they are capable of speaking the english language, reading, and writing enough of the basic language that is used in every day life.
- In the speaking portion the applicant undergoes an interview with a USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Services) official and in the interview they must be able to understand and respond to the questions asked.
- In the reading portion the applicant must be able to read one of the three sentences given to them correctly in order to pass.
- In the writing portion they must be able to write one of the three sentences given to them correctly in order to pass.
